ONE OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES!!!

The patient was born in Tibet and has no family in India. It was his friends that were helping him arrange for the cost of treatment etc. He was suffering from Intestinal Tuberculosis and was being treated at PGI hospital. The patient was responding well to treatment until he was sent back to Dharamsala where unfortunately his health deteriorated. As he came to Delhi for his treatment, a private hospital informed him the immediate need of surgery. The patient had a tough time not just because of the illness but also due to lack of finance to receive adequate treatment. At such a critical juncture, the patient approached PCT for guidance and assistance in order to receive quality treatment at a minimal cost. PCT took him to National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases where he was told about the possibility of treatment through oral medication, and that the surgery was not the only option. It has been more than a month since he has been on medicines and is now recovering very well. The patient is very stable and responding well to the treatment.
